Series Description:

Fall in Love with Ares God of War and Alena MacLeod. Together they Rock the World from the Heights of Olympus to the Celtic Moors.

In The Heart of War, Magdalena MacLeod has been on the run from Cernunnos, Great Horned God, for 200 years when she mysteriously washes ashore on secluded isle of the God of War. When the Olympians discover her presence on Ares' island, they send Apollo to the island to retrieve her while Ares is away. Diplomatically winding her way out of immediately going to Olympus and having nowhere to turn, Alena strikes a bargain with the God of War--her virginity for his protection.

Ares sees a sweeter deal; her in his bed and himself back in his rightful place on Olympus even if it means turning Alena over to Zeus. After Alena proves herself to Ares in battle and his bed, the God of War must choose between his Divinely Dysfunctional Family, his pride, and Alena.

Child of War-A God is Born  Ares and Alena have settled on snowy Olympus to await the birth of their son, Raven. Before Raven is even born, Zeus outwardly despises him for his Fey blood. With only one to keep his family safe from his father, Zeus the God of Gods, Ares enters into a blood pact that could cost the God of War everything he holds dear.

After a harrowing birth wherein mother and son are nearly lost to Ares, it quickly becomes clear that Raven may be the most powerful and cunning Olympian ever born despite his muddled bloodline. Zeus, Apollo, and Aphrodite plot against the new family by carefully planting the seeds of rage and doubt in Ravens' mind, they turn son against mother. It appears as though Cernunnos' prophecy is coming to life as Raven grows to be a very angry young man.

As the true past between the Olympians and Celts is revealed, the battle for Ravens' mind and the ultimate control of Olympus begins. Before it's over, the white snows of Olympus will run red with blood.

Child of War-Rising Son sees Raven on the verge of manhood as his rampage continues and he begins the difficult path to Acceptance by his fellow Olympians. Out to prove he's as good, if not better than, any of them he bests the Trials set before him by Hades and Poseidon. This isn't enough for him, in his quest to prove to his Father, Ares, that he is an Olympian Raven preys upon the Mortals below Olympus in a time of great weakness. Enlisting the aid of his Uncle Apollo and settling for nothing less than utter Chaos, together they push the Mortals to pure anarchy. Ready to conquer the remainder of his Trials so he may take his place at the Counsel Table, and bring Ares the glory Cernunnos once prophesized, only one thing stands in his way; the night his Mother fell down the stairs.

Apollo, ever the Man Behind the Curtain, pulls Raven's strings like a true puppet master. It's far too late when Raven realizes all he's done in hopes of pleasing his Father actually makes Ares look guilty of destroying the Mortal World. A little Chaos and a little Anarchy aren't enough for the Golden God, in his on-going quest to destroy Ares, Apollo sets a plague loose upon the embroiled Earth. By the time the Olympians discover what's going on twenty million people are dead with the number multiplying exponentially every day.

Women of War gives us a brief reprieve from the death and darkness as we journey backward in time spanning four generations of women in Alena's family. From her great-grandmother, Shar Draiocht the last known Queen of the Dark Kingdom to her tortured daughter Morrowind, to Maven Alena's free-spirited mother and through the lonely life of Alena MacLeod ending where The Heart of War begins with the night Alena washes up on Ares' shore. With intensity, lust, fear, and strength these Women of War make their way in the world revealing the hidden truths of the past and Ares true connection to his beloved Wife, Alena.

Kingdoms of War, the OF WAR Series Finale, sees nearly four billion souls lost to the ravages of Anarchy and the dreaded disease Major Falls.  Ares, Athena, and Raven journey the Mortal World vainly reaching for a sliver of what was only to discover what will be. From the fiery wreckage a new world is slowly arising one where the descendants of Olympians, Celts, Dark Fae, and all manner of Magickal Being will rule.

Ares and Athena wander the world, hoping to curtail further damage by obliterating weapons of mass destruction the Wolf inside the God of War slowly succumbs to Major Falls. A rabid God of War is not a pretty sight. Soon it becomes clear that Ares may not live to see the glory of Olympus restored.

By the time Ares' fevered body is brought to Olympus, Apollo's descent into madness is utterly complete. The Gold God is quite insane as he expertly kills off the members of his Divinely Dysfunctional Family. Yet, Alena's greatest nemesis holds the key to saving Ares' life. The price is high and, should she pay it, Alena can't be sure Ares would ever be able to forgive her.

About the Author:

It was in the 4th grade when Lisa discovered she was a naturally gifted writer. The teacher asked the class to pen a story about a baby bird's first flight and read them to the class. Putting pencil to paper, Lisa was instantly whisked away by a force she couldn't explain. When they were finished, all of the children read their happy stories to the class.

Not Lisa. She got up and told of how the baby bird flew too high, hit a plane, crashed to the ground and died. She told of how the mama bird and daddy bird cried of how even God was upset sending the rains pouring from the sky. The class was speechless when she finished all they could do was stare at her. The teacher kept her after class told her the story was very good but it was different from the others. She asked Lisa if she'd ever heard of Icarus and did she base her story on him. Lisa had yet to encounter Greek Mythology or hear a whisper of Icarus. As Lisa left the classroom the teacher again told her how good the story was but suggested she might want to write something happier next time. When Lisa asked her teacher why she had no answer. Luckily for us, Lisa I never took her advice.

EXCERPT:

Ignoring a solitary crow cawing overhead, Michael raised the rifle to his shoulder and took aim. If he did this right, he would only need one shot. Like playing pool, it was all about the angles. The blue-tipped bullet was a beautiful thing. Flying swift and straight, trailing a two-foot tail flame, making a loud thump, it neatly pierced the thirty-gallon propane tank and exploded out the other side. Knocked through the flimsy back door into the blue and-white truck, the propane tank, safety features now breached, began rapidly venting.

Seconds later, as the Subaru sped away, a loud explosion sent a fireball into the air with a whoosh, followed by an angry, nonstop roar as the fire began its work.

“Sweet!” Teng said.

Satisfied, Michael dispassionately began dismantling his weapon as Teng drove toward Sonny’s place near the docks. There were no cameras, and no one was out this early, but it wouldn’t matter if anyone saw anything, anyway. They’d be long gone before the police got there, driving another car. No need to worry about fingerprints or brass, either. Sonny still used his uncle’s guys, and they were thorough. The Subaru would not only be completely clean, but a completely different color by tomorrow morning.

Thirty minutes later, they slipped across North Steel Bridge in a Honda Civic, baby-puke green. Not exactly his style, but it got them out of town. As soon as he got enough, he was going to pay cash for a decent ride. Black and solid.

Grinning at Michael in the rearview mirror, Teng pulled into the fast lane.

“Sticky rice for breakfast? Long’s makes good xoi. I’m starved!”

Michael nodded.

What they hadn’t seen, couldn’t have seen, but would have smelled if they had stayed to watch their handiwork, was a small burned body—blown to the front of the truck by the explosion, jammed under a counter, clutching her dreams.

Book 3
Leigh Ellwood
Genre: BDSM, Contemporary
Publisher: ARe Books
Date of Publication:  12/1/15
Word Count: 15,600
Cover Artist: Erin Dameron-Hill

Book Description:

This standup comedian takes kink seriously.

Maeve Kramer wants to explore her submissive side. After months of communicating with Master Q on an online site for kinksters, she's ready for her first play session with him. Love isn't on the table, just safe, sane, and consensual fun.

Jimmy Quinlan, JQ to friends, is ready for a break after a series of standup gigs. His agent wants him to audition tonight for a regional tour sponsored by an up and coming brewery, which happens to employ the sub he's meeting.

A tour could mean fame for JQ, but less time in the BDSM clubs. Maeve lives to serve and JQ lives for laughter. Can both have their kink and enjoy it, too?

***

Excerpt:

Maeve woke from her daydream to find the person ahead of her had stepped away from the reception desk. Behind the polished mahogany sat a young woman with a dark page cut, eyes done up in smoky shadow, and several tiny metal hoops piercing the outer shell of her right ear. Her pale makeup gave her the look of somebody more at home escorting tourists into the Haunted Mansion. Maybe that was the woman’s day job.

“I-I’m sorry. Saffron,” she said, and automatically fished for her driver’s license. No, you don’t need that, she scolded herself and ceased fidgeting. She didn’t want to look like a complete newb.

The receptionist consulted a tablet, swiping down a list. Maeve took a moment to inspect her understated surroundings. The color scheme of soft reds and browns gave the small lobby an intimate feel, like she’d entered an elegant supper club instead of a place where people explored kinky fantasies.

She’d researched other BDSM spaces online, organizations and venues not as exclusive as The Scene. Some resembled stark gymnasiums with different stations set up for various pleasures, and heavy mats on the floor for protection. Others looked like dance clubs with tricked out light displays and center stages for grand performances.

Maeve told Master Q how exhibitionism intrigued her, but having a man spank her in front of hundreds of people left her cold. She considered clarifying a few things with him when the receptionist addressed her again.

“Yes, I have your name here, Saffron. Welcome,” she said and took Maeve’s pass. “You are expected in the Celosia Room.” She reached under the desk, presumably to press a button because seconds later a buzz sounded and the deadbolt in the door behind her gave. “You’ll go immediately to your right and Aaron will escort you the rest of the way. Enjoy your visit.”

“Thank you.” How…clinical. This seemed more like she was going in for a dental appointment. Well, maybe somewhere in this mysterious kink palace one could engage in a bit of pain play dressed as a hygienist. The thought might get her through an actual dentist visit with some amusement.

Aaron—short, mute, naked but for a spiked collar and a pair of tight leather short-shorts—met her at the end of the hallway. She followed him past doors labeled for flower names: Periwinkle, Iris, Daylily, and finally Celosia. All found in Central Florida, if she remembered her local history. She thought to ask Aaron the reasoning behind the names, but he put a finger to his lips when he opened her mouth.

Does that mean I should be quiet, or that he can’t speak? So much to learn about this lifestyle.

The Celosia room appeared as Master Q had described it in his note. The mirror on the opposite wall took up every inch, and Maeve guessed voyeurs had access to the room on the other side. How many people stood or sat there now, watching her take in a BDSM room for the first time? Not hundreds, she knew. The building was only so big. Maybe somebody clucked with sympathy, thinking her a frightened mouse.

You will not touch anything.

She clutched her bag and looked around. The St. Andrew’s cross loomed to her left, the sofa to her right. Above her head, two thick chains bolted in the ceiling hung down to support a vertical pipe. It appeared one could adjust the height by moving the links on the hooks. Here, however, she could probably just reach the bar if she stood on tiptoe.

Aha. Master Q had asked her height not long ago.

Aaron cleared his throat. She whirled around and he gestured to the only table in the room, situated at the corner.

Fold your clothes neatly and place everything on the corner table near the mirrored wall…

Once alone…

She wouldn’t mess up tonight. For all she knew, Master Q watched from the other side, waiting to see if she slipped.

Aaron next pointed to a buzzer on the wall near the door. Maeve understood it as a panic button, but if Master Q fastened her to something she wouldn’t know how to get to it. She nodded anyway, and the young man offered her a smile before leaving.

Once alone, you will undress until you’re wearing only a black thong.

“I can do this,” she muttered, and cringed. Well, he hadn’t said anything about not talking before she got into position, so she felt safe in that regard. She stepped up to the table and undressed quickly. The shoes came off first, but as she finished the task she asked herself if the shoes remained on the floor or on the table with the rest of her clothing. She didn’t want to scuff the surface…and did shoes count?

Ugh. Details. She was supposed to enjoy this experience. Finally she laid her folded attire on the table, the shoes on top, then her purse. Try and fault me for this.

“Damn, it got cold.” Interesting how the temperature dropped right as she stepped away from the table, clad only in her wispy G-string. She longed to rub some heat back into her arms but she remembered the directive not to touch herself. She’d assumed that meant she couldn’t fondle her breasts or try to rub one out while she waited. Nope. Not taking chances. It wouldn’t surprise her to learn somebody peeping on the other side of the mirrored wall adjusted the AC as she stripped.

The cooling air caressed her cheeks as she walked, the thin crotch of her thong rubbing in a taunting way. She clenched to keep from going mad.

…then position yourself on the strip of red tape on the floor, facing the door.

Easy. Or maybe…

Blurb:

Murder. Obsession. Insanity.

Recently released from a mental institution, Beth Gregory accepts a job as a live-in secretary/PA to the reclusive painter Josh Warrington. From the first moment he sees her, Beth’s long red hair fascinates him, and Josh wants her to be his Rapunzel for a series of fairy tale paintings on which he’s working.

Beth has two major fears: that she will be sent back to the mental hospital and that the visions which landed her there in the first place will return. They do; this time giving her glimpses of murders before they happen. Beth becomes the main suspect in the murder investigation and then she has the most disturbing vision of all: she will become the next victim…

Excerpt:

He wished he'd thought of the water sooner. It was easier that way, not so much mess. It was peaceful too, watching her hair fan out behind her like a veil of gold. She didn't struggle after his hands were around her neck, and he was grateful. It showed him that she accepted her fate dutifully, like she should. She should never have made him wait so long.

Now he was waiting again, but he didn't mind. He was used to waiting now. Waiting could almost have been his middle name. Actually, it was Alphonse, but anyone who knew that was already dead, and so it didn't matter anymore.

It was a while since he had hunted like this, anticipated the inevitable. Usually he preferred the quick kill, where they didn't know he was coming until they started screaming. He liked to hear them scream. Made it all seem that bit much more worthwhile.

But there was something different about this one; something that made him want to wait, to delay the final moment, to make it last. He wanted to frighten her long before the end, when she would beg him to kill her. He couldn't quite tell what it was; there was just an air of something other about her. She wasn't like the other girls, and he grinned broadly. Of course she wasn't. She was special. But then, they were all special. They were his.

Maybe it was the hair which attracted him. It was long, tumbling in red-gold waves down her back, almost to her waist. It reminded him of golden syrup. He loved golden syrup, loved to eat it straight out of the tin with his fingers. No mother to nag him about that. Not any more. Fingers were fine, but sometimes he preferred bread, white bread, none of that wholemeal nonsense. He could almost taste it on his tongue, could almost taste her and he had to stifle a gasp at the image. No point in attracting undue attention to himself.

He glanced at the folder on the passenger seat, her name stark black against the buff-coloured folder. It had almost been too easy to get hold of her file, but no one knew what he wanted it for and he wasn't about to tell them either. He lifted it up and traced her name with a gloved finger, feeling almost as if he was caressing her already. This one would be so easy to break; she'd already been in a mental hospital once. He had to be careful; if she was sent back he couldn't get to her, not there with their high walls and staff on alert all the time. No, he just wanted to scare her for a while, but not inflict madness on her once more. He gasped as he saw her walking towards his parked car, her head down, her loose hair being buffeted by the spring wind.

Maybe it wasn't the hair; maybe it was the grey-green eyes which seemed to see right down to his soul.  Would she recoil in terror at what she saw there, or would she welcome it like the others before her? They had all welcomed him in the end. Or maybe it was the way she dressed, so unlike her contemporaries in their short skirts and skimpy tops. Any time he'd seen her, she was always covered up in long dresses and baggy sweaters, as if she didn't want to show off any of her womanly curves. She had curves, the clothes could not disguise them, and he had long imagined his hands roving over her delicate skin.

He also knew that underneath all those layers, there was a wanton harlot waiting for him to let her out, just like all the others. How they loved to tease and torment him. This time he would be the tormentor.

But not yet. He would wait. He was getting good at waiting.

Book Description:

Desiderus has served Ba'al faithfully for nearly one hundred years. When Haven Rowe put a gun to his head and pulled the trigger, her fierce nature stirred emotions he hadn't felt since before Ba'al claimed him. With his sight set on consuming her body and soul, he'll use every deceptive idea at his disposal to make sure she belongs to him.

When Haven walked in on a demon stealing her brother, Jeremy, her entire world unraveled. Born to a family of magic users, yet unable to use magic of her own, Haven will do anything to get her brother back from the depths of hell, even if it means she has to bargain her soul.

With the help of a witch, Haven seeks out loopholes to the soul bargains that have been made. She either finds a way out for her and Jeremy, or they both might be lost forever. What she doesn't count on is the betrayal of her own body and the insurmountable attraction she has for the demon she's trying to escape.

Excerpt:

Surprised by the female's actions, Desiderus watched her run for a moment before his mind registered her actions. Her obsidian hair flew behind her with a strange bag slung over her small shoulders. In a way, he should have known Haven would bolt. Experience all but told him that. Many had run and failed. Desiderus shook his head and a grin spread across his lips. She wouldn't get far and not just because she was naked. He had a pretty good idea that Haven didn't worry about her loss of clothes as much as she worried about what he might do to her. He would have loved nothing more than to chase after her...but she needed to be taught a lesson, to understand what it meant for him to have her name, for him to be in control.

After quickly making Ba'al's sign in the air in front of him, a toad with a circle, magic flickered into the sigil like sparking a match. The sign brightened to an orange color. Desiderus had been a demon so long it took seconds to create. Under his breath, he let her name roll off his tongue in one easy motion, "Haven Rowe."

The color of the sigil sprinkled away on a breeze and black smoke swirled. Haven's image slowly began to appear, little by little, tantalizing, as if she somehow knew he wanted her body, far more than he had any other mortal female. Her legs came first, the lazy curve of her hips, he groaned with the swell of her heaving breasts, and finally her face construed in a perfect scowl piercing him with those damn blue eyes.

"Running will do you no good, Haven." Inside lust coiled around his core, urging him to do anything but stand there looking staring. Her skin shimmering with sweat, making his tongue slip out to lick his lips. He swallowed a groan at the thought of tasting her tanned flesh. Lost in his erotic notions he didn't see her foot until it was too late and a sharp jolt of lightning like pain raced up from between his legs, shooting over his spine and slamming into the base of his brain. Colors formed in his eyes and he blinked it away as his stomach churned. His knees weakened, but he kept himself standing somehow, adrenaline replacing the pain as anger mounted inside him like a lion.

"But that does demon." Haven turned to run for the second time and despite the throbbing radiating from his balls, Desiderus reached out for her, latching fingers around an ankle that had come up from the ground and Haven fell front first into the dirt with Desiderus falling on top of her.
